Wine bar
The wine bar at the Perelada winery, in the Empordà
Celler 1923 is the winery's own wine bar: you drink what's made right here, with the sommelier across the table and the vineyards just outside the window.

What it means here
A wine bar inside the winery that makes the wine
What sets it apart from a city wine bar is where the bottle comes from. The wine list here is the estate's own: sparkling wines such as Perelada Stars Brut Nature Reserva, whites such as 5 Finques Blanc or Finca La Garriga Blanca, rosés such as Perelada Mar de Rosa, and single-estate reds such as Finca Malaveïna, Finca Espolla or Perelada Gran Claustro. The list also includes Perelada 1923, a centenary wine that carries the same year in its name as the restaurant.

How to order
The sommelier chooses and explains, glass by glass
You don't need to know about wine. The sommelier recommends according to what you're eating and talks you through each glass as it arrives: what it is, which vineyard it comes from and why it sits at that point in the menu. There are only set menus and dishes can't be swapped, but the wines are yours to choose. And if you're after something shorter, Toni Gerez's cheese board with wine by the glass is the most popular option.

Questions about the wine
We serve wine by the glass and boards of cheese and cured meats, but the main format here is the set menu. Let us know when you book if you're after something shorter.
Yes. The dishes on the menu don't change, but the glasses do: the sommelier suggests and you decide from the estate's own list.
The winery's wine shop is right at the estate entrance, next to the restaurant.
