Eating in Peralada
Where to eat in Peralada, next to the castle and winery
Peralada is a small village in the Alt Empordà with a castle, a museum, a casino and a winery. Celler 1923 is on the Perelada winery estate, right by the entrance.

Exactly where we are
At the estate entrance, not in the village centre
Plenty of people look for somewhere to eat in Peralada with the old town in mind and end up at the estate, which is where the winery is. Celler 1923 occupies Perelada's old farmhouse, beside reception and the wine shop, a short walk from the castle. You arrive by car and park inside, in the estate's own free car park, which has accessible spaces. Figueres is about 10 minutes away, Roses and the sea half an hour, and the French border just over half an hour.
What it's like to eat at the winery
What you'll eat
No dish menu here: only set menus
Worth knowing before you come, because it's what surprises people most. At Celler 1923 you don't order individual dishes: we serve set menus (Origen, Terroir and the weekend menu), built dish by dish around the house wines, with Paco Pérez as culinary director. The dishes can't be swapped; the wines can be chosen glass by glass. The wine list, which is the winery's own, includes 5 Finques Blanc, Finca Malaveïna and Perelada Gran Claustro.

Questions from first-time visitors
At Celler 1923, it's a good idea. You can turn up without a booking, but we can't guarantee a table, and in high season there may be none even if you spot free seats: the dining room fills up with reservations.
Yes. The guided tour and the meal are separate: you can book just a table, just the tour, or both together with the estate package.
Yes: the car park belongs to the estate, is free and sits inside the grounds, with accessible spaces and an accessible entrance, so there's no need to park in the village.
Families are welcome if you mention it when booking, and there are high chairs, but it's a quiet space mainly meant for adults, with no children's menu.
